Can someone confirm for me if this is a list of Blues that either are today or were originally M only blue paint options? Id like to make a poll of which is the most liked, but want to make sure the list is complete first.

LeMans, Estoril, and Tanzanite have all been offered on non M cars.

And I think you're missing Monte Carlo Blue offered on the F10 M5 - though I'm not certain that wasn't offered on a non M.

Wasnt Estoril originally an M only blue? Same with Tanzanite?

Estoril Blue was introduced on the E36 M3 and the M roadster/coupe, but has since been made available on regular models.

when I think M blues, I think Interlagos blue and Laguna Seca blue. ILB is my all time favorite and my S85 M6 was awesome wearing it.

There have been several examples of LSB on new 335s locally here. Although labelled as individual cars.

You forgot Avus Blue. I only recall it being offered on the E36 M3 for one year before being replaced by Estoril in 1996.

I've owned Estoril, LeMans, and LSB (2x). LSB is my personal favorite.

Not M exclusive, but Macau Blue and Fjord Blue M cars exist

As already mentioned, you are missing Monte Carlo blue and Long Beach Blue.

Tanzanite Blue is not an M color. It is a BMW Individual Collection color and was never exclusive to M models. You can see it on a 6 here:

Of course that doesn't prove it wasn't originally exclusive to M, but I am nearly 100% sure it never was. In fact, as far as I know, no Individual Collection paint finishes started out as regular production colors, M or otherwise.

Atlantis Blue also did not originate as an M color as far as I know. I tried to find it's original model, but don't have more time to Google. However, it was definitely seen on non-M E36 models. I don't know if it existed before that.

Frozen Dark Blue is another BMW Individual Collection color that was never exclusive to M as far as I know.

Also, I believe you meant "Macao" rather than "Monaco". The former was an E30 M3 exclusive color, while I don't think Monaco debuted on an M vehicle.

All M colors are named after race tracks, so just list blue colors with race track names.

Most have filtered down to non-M after a while though.

Avus was available on US market e36 318 and 328 variants from 1996-1999. Came on e36 m3s in 1995 as a standard color, individual from 1996-1999.
