Will a Mulf 2 high basis need coding?
I've just replaced my broken Mulf module with an eBay purchased mulf 2 high basis. I previously just had bluetooth. I am not interested in USB but will it still need coding just to get bluetooth to work?
Thanks Last edited by Rackers; 02-06-2016 at 06:59 AM.. |

I just plugged mine in and it worked fine. Keep meaning to code in the various USB optoins but not got round to it and bluetooth works which was the big issue for me.
I did a write up of my install, detailling how i got round some of the quirks of fitting a MULF2 in place of a MULF here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1126467 |

Hi MAKKAN00
Mate, just PM'd you but boy have you got a lot of PM's.. too many, it wont take anymore, so just in case you come across this. Hi Sam, Long time since I contacted you, after your advice some years ago everything has been fine, done a fair bit of coding with no problems.. until now... haha. I loaded WIN 10 on recently and foolishly thought using Compatibility mode NCS would work, it does but it seems EDIABAS doesn't, even set to compatibility mode as well (XP 2 or 3) NCS works but get to point where it goes to read EDIABAS then comes up with SYS errors and Initialising errors. Either have to put a WIN 7 version on laptop as well or is there some later software...? The only thing I'm a bit unsure about is I had so many versions of INPA and EDIABAS to originally get it to work I'm concerned I put an old or wrong version on... Thoughts Hope your well and still coding... Cheers Malc |

Just in case anyone else has a similar problem, I took a drive over to litany from bimmerforums over in Southampton - he sorted it out in no time. Top Man and extremely reasonable, I highly recommend giving him a shout. I had bought a mild from eBay, all worked apart from BT until he reprogrammed it... works fine now.
