Best M2 Review Yet - From the Verge
http://www.theverge.com/2016/2/23/11...t-drive-review
So well written. More than any picture or description before it, I feel like I understand the car now. I can't wait. |

I really wish more car reviews read like this - most I've read so far for the M2 feel very generic and bland. This felt personal and full of emotional.
Ironic really considering it comes from a website not from the traditional motoring press.. |

Sounds like BMW nailed it and left the car with a soul. Reminds me of many of the recent Top Gear reviews of things like the current McLaren or Lambo offerings. Great car, faster around the track than previous generations, not engaging to drive, very easy to control and no fear of losing it, etc. would rather have the slower old one that could bite your head off if not careful.

I love the verge for tech articles..
Not for cars......It's noble but no.... But the editor did a great job on the article. It was a good read regardless of how i feel about the website and cars. Last edited by dammitcubs; 02-23-2016 at 01:20 PM.. |

Fantastic write-up.
This is why I bought the M2, it was available in a manual and allowed the driver to have a connection with the road that is missing from so many "performance" cars these days. Well done BMW. |

Author bio from the website: "This is The Harper Spin, a weekly column from seasoned auto critic Jason H. Harper. He's raced at Le Mans, crushed a car in a 50-ton tank, and now, he's bringing his unique style to The Verge."

"It sounds strange, but the best cars tell you more by kinetics than even by steering or sound."
This is how I feel about the 2 series in general. This kind of validates my thoughts that anyone who thinks the M235i is weak simply isn't very good at feeling out a vehicle's dynamics, and they need the car to yell at them about every last detail of what's going on.

That was a nice review. I know the Verge for their phone reviews but I liked this review of the M2. The only thing I didn't agree with is what he said about the interior. After sitting in a M235i, since the interior will just about be the same; I really like the interior of the M2 a lot.

I read this for the first time last night and it was certainly my favorite, as well.
The gripes with the interior are certainly subjective IMO, as I will take this over the current one of my Mini Clubman S, 8 days of the week. But to each his own, I suppose.
