In typical Lexus fashion, I'm sure it will underwhelm.

Love the car! Everything but the engine, it's an old engine. Boo!

It will be interesting. They don't seem to have ever really done "driving dynamics" well. Even their powerful cars feel distant and isolated (in my experience). I am also REALLY not a fan of their aesthetics on this one, which is disappointing, because I liked where they were headed with the IS-F. Not that I am all that expert on them, but my riding/driving experiences have been, as said above, underwhelming. That said, that is a lot of HP up there, it will be interesting to see if they worked out how to make it feel good too.

It was all looking good until I read this:
Eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift I like the styling, I like the luxury, I bet it sounds awesome. . . but they completely lose the plot with the autoboxes they put in the Lexus'

Yeah they did actually; I had a 2008 IS250 in a 6MT. Too bad the trans were derived from a Tacoma and it drove like shit lol. I moved onto a 2010 G37S 6MT after that and all was better in the world. Then a 2013 E92 335i 6MT and it was a whole world better. And now an F80 in 6MT and I'm just loving the hell out of my driving experience.
As for the GS-F I'm sure it'll be fun to drive and sound great with an NA V8 but it'll be nowhere near the performance/handling of a BMW M5. I do however like their interiors w/ that massive navi screen. |

Would buy over an F10 M5 if for no other reason than a high likelihood of better long term reliability, if I planned on keeping the car for 10 years or more.
If I were going to keep the car four years or less, would probably go for an F10 M5. I like the new line of Lexus cars, other than the SUVs. |
