carly coding issues

can anyone assist with a problem I have now got after doing some coding on my car, before I started I could only unlock the car with the keyfob, now after I have done some coding the car will unlock with the keyfob and the key, and I dont want it to unlock with the key just the keyfob, I seem to keep going round in circles and cant get it off, I believe its down to the arm alarm with key/alarm and comfort access settings I have, but if I try to get it back to how it was before with the backups, the key still unlocks the doors, teach me to jump straight in without doing some research, do I have to do 1 thing before the other will work?
thanks

I didn't know that "no key unlock" was an option, what happens if your battery dies?

AFAIK, As standard, the key will mechanically unlock the door, but wont trigger the central locking, or disable the alarm.

So if your fob battery dies, you need to unlock with the key, open the door, put key in ignition to silence alarm, press unlock button on dash to open the doors.

I guess it means if someone jimmies the lock and gets the door open, the alarm goes off, rather than the car thinking you've opened it with a real key.

You cant electronically disable the mechanical lock, just what the locking system does when it sees the door being unlocked mechanically.

perfect thanks, as the alarm goes off if you open with the key and the windows dont move if held in open/closed posn, and arms the alarm with the key on lock, so its set right, just need a louder siren now standard one is shit but can that be turned up??
