You car history in pictures
I was looking at the other "your past cars" thread which was directed at cars which were drag raced. I thought it'd be good to do another, more inclusive, one. This one is not limited to drag racing. Just post your car history, with one picture per car and one line with the year/make/model.

My List
Here's a visual list of all the cars I've owned. Not all photos are of my actual cars -even though the colors are accurate- as I never bothered taking pics of the "boring ones".

Mine is all right here. (Still need to add a few motorcycles; the last two I had are there.)

I didn't have any cars (of my own specifically) until I finished Law school. Before that I would drive whatever I could get my hands on, whatever extra cars were lying around at the house. Plus my schooling was in Scotland and everything was so close by I didn't need a vehicle then. After graduating and moving back home to Canada is when I started getting the vehicles.
So this is my car history of 'fun' cars from when I was 24 till now (29). I had two bikes overlapping this time period as well, Yamaha R6 and Suzuki GSXR 1000. 1. 2009 Ford Mustang Convertible 2. 2003 350Z 3. 2009 Mercedes C350 - Those are dead bugs in the front. 4. 2011 Mercedes C63 AMG 5. 2012 BMW M3 Let's see what will be next. I am trying to control myself and keep one thing for longer than 2 years (record C63). Hopefully it goes well. Need to concentrate more towards business now and worry about cars later. |

I'd post, but I'm too old, most of my cars predate digital cameras.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I feel you, Freshwhite335. What year and color was yours?
The r171 SLK AMG 55 was special. It wasn’t super fast, the transmission was slow in manual mode, the interior was tight, and it was heavy. But that entire packaged wrapped in the f-1 style nose along with the exhaust sounds it made just worked for me. I’m still tempted to pick up a used one every now and then if only I have enough garage space for one more car. Here are a few more pics of my silver one to torture you some more. |

started off with a 1987 Mazda RX7 TII.
full suspension, exhaust, Mictrotech standalone. 550cc primary and 1000cc secondary injectors, all done interior the works. first car i started tinkering with, learned alot Sold that, bought a brand new 2008 Nissan Xterra Off-Road 6speed. almost everything done to it. due to health reasons, could no longer climb in and out of it, nor could i drive manual anymore. so picked up this a few months ago
