Talking about bitches, money, cars, drugs is nothing new to Hip Hop. Example: NWA back in the 80s-early 90s, Biggie, and Pac. And those 2 are considered to be two of the greatest of all time.

When it boils down..Hip Hop is still a business, nonetheless. So in order to get a lot of spins on the air wave and clubs, you need something catchy. Songs like "Uma Do Me", "Louie Bag", etc. have no substance but they are very catchy..hence why they're popular. This is why for the longest artists like Talib, Mos Def, Common, etc. never sold too well even though they were somewhat mainstream. They only began to expand a little while ago when Kanye started to mess with them.

If you want to hear more of the 'deeper' side of Hip Hop..you should listen to Living Legends, Immortal Technique, and other underground bands/artists.
