More (Lack of) ///M Mirror Insight

Straight from the horse's mouth in the April issue of Roundel [interview with Head of M Design, Krzysztof Szews]

Quote:
R: Why are there no twin-stalk mirrors?
KS: The stock mirrors are actually better aerodynamically, and we had cost considerations as well. The target demographics for the M2 are in the 35-45 age group, while M3 and M4 owners skew older - and with higher incomes. There will be aftermarket [M Performance] carbon-fiber mirror caps for the steering wheel, exterior mirrors, rear diffuser trim, a deck-lid spoiler, and exhaust tips, by the way.

Who gives a f anyways, at M2 money I'd take the M2 over the M4 regardless.

JC not again...

But being a hypocrite I can and will ask(again): what's possible on an F87 M235i(M2) aftermarket?

I'd like something like this, the whole car off course, but I only can afford one or two mirrors....

Anybody?

Thanks.

Cheers
Robin

I still can't understand my they didn't make the M performance carbon mirror caps in the 'M' style. I really hope that some aftermarket option is available as a bolt on

I've been convinced of this all along.

" M " mirrors are aerodynamically INFERIOR.

The 1M has horrible coefficient of drag and is much worse than the 128 and 135.

just because they have a styling adjustment and look cool doesn't mean they actually are superior.

If all cars were built off what is the best coefficient of drag, all cars would look the same. I will take some looks over plan jane.

If anyone is still talking about mirrors at this point, they are brain damaged superficial idiots who need to be excised from the bmw enthusiast world back to stickered up Hondas.

Harsh I know
