Few of my cousins picked up some drones. Played around with them and im pretty addicted. I have a hobby for photography and videos and since these toys have gotten pretty advanced, i would love to take some aerial shots of my M3/properties I work on

Looking at the Phantom 4 or Inspire 1

anyone else have any experience with these and would love to hear some input before I make this purchase. Thank you!

I do not own either one, but do fly other makes. I fly just to fly, no ariel photography.

In my opinion, the DJI Phantom is class of the field. They have excellent flight control systems. They hover in GPS mode very well. See quite of few enthusiast flying them.

I think the Inspire would be overkill. But depends on your needs.

The DJI Phantom will do the job for most amateur areal photography.
Awesome machine.

Very intuitive flight control system as well.

I flew RC collective pitch helos for a little while. It wasn't too hard to learn since they have a gyro to provide artificial stability for yaw. A conventional helo like a t-rex 450 or 650 is the way to go over those "drones". The single overhead blade is more efficient than a multicopter, PLUS you can land them with a full engine failure.

Also, I appreciate the "drones' in quotes. UAV, UAS, RPA, RC aircraft, quad/multi-copter are all preferable to drone. The military is autonomously landing on aircraft carriers and they don't even use the term. Consider me peeved.

Nah, because if they don't crash it immediately then they're probably a decent pilot.

Also, the military has been flying drones for FOREVER. My great aunt flew RC drones for target practice during WWII.

I had a TRex 450 and much prefer the DJI 550 for cinematography. This is what's left of my air fleet.

That combat wing will do over 100mph in a dive.
