Vacuum issue causing WG rattle, help me track down
Ok, so I've developed a wastegate rattle, and tracked it down to my rear turbo, as is usually the suspect. Tried to adjust the actuator rod length, 5 full turns and 0 improvement. However, with the car started, the slop in the arm/bushing is taken up, so I'm thinking it's not that either. I think I'm possibly just not getting enough vacuum to seal the WG tight. So what to check? Is the actuator generally the culprit? Or maybe the vacuum canisters? Let me know your thoughts. Turbos are still making great power and I get 0 rattle out of the front.

Indeed, I backed it down to 2. It actually is being less noisy now, but time will tell. So I'm thinking, actuator or boost solenoid possibly? Since it comes and goes..

Relatively simple to check solenoids, need a vacuum gage and a helper. Some wg rattle seems normal for old turbos, esp if boosting fine.
