Just picked up my '16 M235i 6-speed

Just took delivery of the car yesterday...Absolutely loving it so far. I ordered it on March 25, so it's been a pretty quick custom order. After tracking it's production and the boat (Tombarra) crossing the ocean, my jaw just dropped when I saw it in person.

This is my first car, and I've never driven a manual transmission that had >100,000 miles on it...This thing just drives like a dream. It's so effortless to get into gear, and the clutch is nice and smooth and easy. Plus all that torque... Honestly couldn't be happier.

I was a little crazy making the dealer leave all the shipping tape on it...This one's truly right out of the box! 6 miles when I took delivery.

Didn't go for many options, but in my opinion I hit the most important ones--
that fantastic 6-speed and the summer tires. Other than that...
Alpine White
Black SensaTec
Brushed Aluminum trim
harmon/kardon audio

I never realized how loud these M235is where on startup, it really barks! I'll try to get in some nice pictures after I wax it this coming weekend, but for now here are some with all that shipping tape (haven't even removed it yet, waiting for the rain to stop up in the northeast...as of right now, the car's filthy! )

Philly is a great area, is the Schuykill Expy doable with your 18 inch wheels?
476 has some great turns around Swarthmore, anyway enjoy the car.

First mod you should do is the stainless steel pedals. It makes me unreasonably happy every time I get in the car and get to look at all three pedals.

So satisfying.

Thanks everyone! I'm totally loving this car. Those stainless steel pedals sure do look nice, too bad they don't come stock!

Are you really six-teen?
Be CAREFUL, drive SMART. Life is so much easier if your smart about the way you drive your car.
Enjoy and appreciate your car, that doesn't mean exploring the capabilities of your car on road.

Wow, what a first car. Mine was a 57 Chevy Bel-Air. My father called it the "bomb". The wiring harness caught on fire one night.

Yes, I am very careful indeed ... I'm more concerned about clutch life than I am about getting anywhere in a hurry, people are often impatient with me at stoplights as I try to set off at >1000 rpm
