Wow. Good thing I recently sold mine. This price reduction will take a big hit on people selling their Cobbs now.

If Cobb would put more R&D into their tuning solution for the n54 this would be huge. They haven't touched several angles that MHD is now covering.
I saw a thread on 1addicts of some kind of petition to show Cobb there's still interest in their device and software, and it had significant posts. I, for one, prefer the AP over an android device and there's no question as to which cables work with the AP. It's comprehensive. |

The Cobb, hands down, is still the most safest, and straight-forward device to flash maps. Haven't really heard of anyone accidentally bricking their DME or failed flashes and causing the car not to start like the MHD. For that end, Cobb got that end figured out real well.
But then again, $750+ device vs. $180 MHD flasher w/ cables is a no brainer. Everyone has an Android device laying around the house nowadays. I still like Cobb though. |

180 but where are all the add ons you need for mhd to make it equal a Cobb AP. Cable, all the different OTS maps, Cobb still flashes faster than MHD too. What's the total all in MHD price for someone that doesn't do Android like me? I have to get an Android device for it too of some kind. Its not had to have a lower price when someone else does the homework for you ahead such as Cobb doing it first before anyone else and the rest following. Sure extra tables are available via MHD but not most of that stuff has been available for ages just never added in which is one nice thing about an open platform that I like.

Great news for N55 owners but how about some further development and discovering more tables?
Too little, too late for N54. All they need to do is make a decent donation to the guy that's been defining lots more tables and implement them. It would be very easy and cheap to do, but they are not interested in N54 owners at all any more. I guess they figure that they're mostly existing customers who they won't make money off. Race logic for everyday ATR self-tuners at a reasonable cost is an absolute must. |

I can fully attest that the Cobb tune is pretty reliable, safe, and fast. While the MHD tune, I blew my charge pipe within 15 minutes and on the 3rd WOT later. The MHD tune is pushing 15PSI stage 1 while the Cobb stage1 tune is like 11-12 PSI.
I probably won't go back to MHD for a while until they're more stabilized and out of their beta maps. I may consider getting a Cobb again now, even though I've wasted my money on the MHD tune. Oh well, I'll consider it money lost to a stripper in the VIP |

Gauges are limited to the Cobb screen size. Something I didn't know before I bought mhd is the amount you can log at one time. I'm not sure what the limit is but Cobb is 20 and I've logged around 30 in mhd. |

Other than the better tuning capabilities, what really drew me into MHD was the gauges. I chose to buy a 7-inch tablet which specifically stays in my car so I have a nice large display of gauges. You literally cannot beat it. Very big and easy to read. Also 3 different guage options which is cool |
