Forget the M3/M4, LC500 is my next car
I've never been a lexus fan boy. Every Asian parent has a RX, IS, LS, etc. you name it.
But the LC500 has been a game changer. Inside, its astonishingly beautiful, completely leather wrapped. That's how a luxury car should be. The looks, the reliability, etc. I don't care if this car can't perform as well as a M3/M4. I don't track my car and usually like gunning it stoplight to stoplight. At the end of the day, I usually keep my car for 10 years and its all about total cost of ownership. With a straight V8 motor and no frills, Lexus should help me keep a lot of money in my wallet. And now, the exhaust note. The V8 is menacing! |

I have to say that the car is really nice but as I have said before I just can't get past the grill, WTF were they thinking.....it kind of reminds me of the huge mistake Porsche made with the 996 headlights.....just my 2 cents though.

Would probably have considered the RC-F if it didn't have the collective weight of the entire solar system.

I have an almost irrational hate for all things Lexus and would love nothing more than to take an RC-F and drive it into a wall.
I want to stop people who drive a Lexus and ask them why the fuck would they buy such an atrocious vehicle, especially an IS250. The car takes about a day to reach highway speeds and gets shitty mileage. As drop dead gorgeous the LC500 looks, they will fuck something up with it. It'll probably have the handling capabilities of a cruise ship and take 5 seconds to hit 60 mph because it weighs as much as a locomotive. |

I'm not a fan of how it looks, but boy do I love the sound. I also think it needs to shed a ton of weight, it has (roughly) 50 more hp than the e92 and still does about the same 0-60 (though it sounds like they are just estimating right now)? The interior is interesting, just don't like the tan. I still think it's encouraging, however, that it's an NA v8, that they are TRYING to make something more aggressive for the luxury market (bc Infiniti never will put a GTR engine in a Q50) and that they were able to produce such an amazing sound. The more options for us as consumers the better.

I used to be the same until the time in my life when I needed an extremely reliable and comfortable vehicle and that's why I got one. My BMWs were driving me crazy with reliability especially after mileage went over 90k. Here is what I like about Lexus:
1. Reliability 2. Resale value 3. Availability of ventilated seat even for lover models (ES350, RX350, IS250). 4. Build quality and materials quality. Quote:

If I'm going to buy a car from a luxury marque operated by a more commoner marque, I want it to look nothing like the commoner marque's cars. That the LC500 has taillights that ape the new Prius's is a total dealbreaker for me. (And WTF is that black area between the C pillar and the rear glass? Paint that and the car looks soooo much more muscular and uniform ... ). That said, the LC500 is the only Lexus on which "that" grille looks halfway decent.
Turning that the other way, I think it's hilarious that the Camry has the Lexus bowtie/hourglass 'negative space' on its nose. It basically says "I'm not worthy ... but I share parts!" No thanks. For that price, I'll take a Targa or a loaded F-Type.

Drove the RC-F... not impressed. if the LC500 is anything like it, it will be a flop. The transmission was terrible and although it accelerated pretty well, it was such a boat

Will admit that sounds great.
Lexus has always been able to do a great high performance exhaust note but often times the bark(rumble) doesn't match the bite. LF-A ( Sort of matched the bite, but was a failure) ISF GSF RCF |
