Someone please help me remove JuiceBox2 in los angeles...
Hey guys, i need to get my car serviced. Meaning i definatly need to remove the juicy juice. I do not have the courage to reach threw those engine components, so i was wondering if one of you guys could assist me. Anyone want to be a real nice fellow poster and remove it for me? i would go to Terry but he is 1 and a half hours drive, way to much. I am in West Los angeles.

How likely are they to find it during a routine oil service? It seems like such a pain to take it out.
Also, lets say they find it, they cant void your warranty just for having it right? Especially if you are not having any issues with the car? Lawyers chime in please Sorry to thread jack, but the OP brings up a valid concern.

They definitely can void your warranty. Better to be safe than sorry , might as well bite the bullet and take that hour drive to get it taken out. Good luck!

woodland hills? I had to drive to Simi Valley to get it removed, without traffic it took me 45 minutes. With traffic, easily an hour and a half.

That is mighty nice of Terry to offer to un-install it and return your car to stock for you. I think I'd jump on it. There are probably shops near where you live that could do it but will charge between 75.00-100.00.

They can defintely NOT just void your warranty. First of all, they will not detect the JB unless they are looking for it or if you mis-installed it. Secondly, warranty is broken up into several sub-sections such as powertrain, rust-through, emission component (gov. driven), bumper to bumper, hybrid components, etc...look at the manual that came with the car for a list of appliable warranty's. Mag-Moss act stats that there has to be a correlation, so as you all know, if you install the JB and your door falls off, you are covered. With that said, it is probably best to take the JB out of your vehicle for service WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM OR CONCERN WITH THE VEHICLE. If you are just taking it in for an oil change, you are most likely fine. But as previously stated, its better to be safe than sorry!

Has anyone looked into having the dealer install piggybacks?? Such as the ones who carry and install the SSTT? (sorry to get off topic)

i always say safe than sorry myself. But if i,m bringing the car in for just an oil change i think i would leave it in.I doubt if the tech doing the oil change is going to snoop around in the engine compartment looking for any mods. But you never know.

Maybe BMW has instructed dealerships to take a few minutes and look for ECU tampering, who knows.

i took mine in with all the mods that i have for both, brake and oil change, and the representetive from bmw north america was at the dealer. They are swamped with cars and have to time to look around for tampering. next time dont bother taking it off.
