Best flash tune for N55 DCT
Hey guys, I'm after some advice please.
I want a flash tune, but my car is N55 and DCT which rules out MHD, I believe COBB make a flashing device that will work, but are other options? Whats the best flash only tune I can apply to my car for N55 and DCT? I want to get rid of the JB4, no piggy back anymore. Cheers

I believe Cobb is the only custom tuneable option. There are off-the-shelf pricey flash options sourced from europe but they are a one size fits all flash that isn't editable.
I'd go Cobb and put lots of pressure on them to further N55 development. |

I was just looking at their site and it seems they don't support DCT, only MT and AT :/

- ESS Tuning
- PP Performance - The Victorian distributor is Evolve Technik. Just go on the Evolve Technik website, I remember seeing a NSW distributor as well. I am not sure how they compare to ESS but from my understanding its also a bench flash like ESS where your ecu is removed then put back after some modification |

GTS DCT Software Upgrade
I found this on the E9x M3 Forum, not sure if it applies to 335's but for $60 worth looking into EB
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...hlight=gts+dct Edit: sorry this is trans flash only.

Definitely not applicable to non M's also.
Cobb's you're only scalable solution here Eb. Performance wise, you're just FBO currently right? Just curious on the reason to ditch the JB. |

The car is my daily and I use it at work, I have to carry around a battery jump starter and it embarrassing having to pop the hood and jump it randomly. The issue may not be anything added and rather another par that has failed, but doing this I can at least rule it out, because I'm sure the first thing anyone would say is, remove what you have added :/ To be honest the JB4 was in and working before I had battery issues, but I'm not going any further performance mods and I feel that a straight flash and forget is what I want. |

With your draining issues, have you made sure the battery is coded correctly? This definitely would not be the JB4. More likely to be the dashcam power module. Might want to take it to a stealer to hook up to their diagnostics system to trace. |

I have a hunch the drain issue is the water pump, it keeps turning on ever if the car is cold. I may go back to the JB4 in the future to get mor involved with the techy aspects, but I'm losing interest due to all the issues I'm having :/ Dealer here are fuck wits, but there is a local place that might be able to help. If I can strip the add ons out, then go to someone and say, battery is new, shits fucked, find the problem, then they can't throw it back on me |

EDIT: just read your battery is new. JB4 will not affect your battery performance/issues. A dash cam or any aftermarket hard wired accessories are most probably doing the damage.

do you have an oil catch can by any chance? I can't remember what it is exactly but this can sometimes drain the battery (not the actual presence of a catch can - but something gets unplugged which causes a pump to run)

I heard they are not doing anything for the N55 and E92 platform anymore

I don't know, I havnt heard of it.
All I know is my water pump starts up, I took the coolant resevour cap off to confirm that, can see coolant being sprayed while the pump is running. I'll look into the max cool option, thanks DR J! |
