E93 hardtop wont open

Hey gang, need some help went for a drive today and the hardtop wont open, when I pull the open switch a red light comes up.... any one know how to fix? The shelf in the boot is definitely latched...

If you haven't done it for a while the rubber mat be stuck to the windshield etc. Are you hearing it try or just dead? Just dead could be hydraulic leak or misaligned sensor to start with.

This happened to me. Turns out one of the sensor plat holders In the trunk was cracked. Replaced it for 8$

Was it noticeable? Ive had a peak and can't see anything wrong

Not noticeable. If it's stuck it tries. If it's a sensot, it doesn't. Mine was cracked but not off completely so it looked fine.

Is this the sensor on the latch left hand side that you have to close for the roof to open? Left hand side?

Did you fix it yourself? Just wanna try fix it without paying a dealer mad $$$$

I really couldn't say. Dealer fixed it for cheap. Part was $8. They handed me the btoken corner but idk where it came from.

When you're peaking, it's always gonna be hard to see anything with your eyes rolling back into your head
