Yes typically they are one per axle. Depending on what you are looking at(just wires) you may be mistaking it for a wheel reluctor (wheel speed sensor). These tell the ECU's how fast each wheel is turning.

well I have done diagnostics, and had two rear brake pad errors(CD-ID 71), changed brakepads and sensor one side, reset errors and did another test, now I only have one error...

well changed the rear one, fault gone. Looked to the other side, ah it was the ABS wire which fooled med. went up front, yanked out the sensor, crossed the wires, reset errors, annnd...dang!..still error on the front..

everywhere I have looked it says to cross the wires to fool the ecu...(or change sensor obviusly)... but why does it still say error ?

Just change the sensor. I think I paid $10 for my URO sensor, which fit perfectly.

Yes I will eventually.. just had to quick fix it..and so I was surprised it didnīt work with shorting the sensor wires ... :/ maybe someone knew why...

on a side note, there was quite a bit of brakepad material left on the pads when the sensor was worn out... could have gone way longer..

Yeah my car only has 18k miles sensor showing need rear pads-

In the past had this happen for front brakes and was bad sensor -
They charged me 50 bucks even with my warranty bc of the minimum fee.

Is the sensor easy to change ?
