Bluetooth echo
Anyone else see this problem? I have a 2008 e90 335xi with iDrive. I have paired my Samsung Blackjack II with the car. When I receive calls, everything is fine. When I dial from my phone keypad to make a call, everything is fine. When I dial from iDrive, there is always a terrible echo (for my voice only) during the call. The phone mic is not active. I have made sure of that. Anyone else see anything like this?

Unlike other Windows Mobile OEMs, Samsung rolls their own Bluetooth stack, which is reported to be the source of this problem. Other Windows Mobile phones work fine. If you like the Blackjack form factor, you might take a look at the Motorola Q9h from AT&T. I use this phone with my '08 335i with iDrive, and it works well. Probably not the answer you were looking for, but at least it's an answer. |

I have an echo on 50% of my calls. 08 335i Vert and Cingular/ATT HTC 8525. Only happen when phone is in my briefcase on passenger floor. When I move behind the drivers seat the problem goes away. ???

Based on your description of the problem (physically moving the phone alleviates the issue), I'd guess that it's just a simple reception or interference issue in your case. |

Any know hacks to the samsung bluetooth stack? There must be a way to swap it out for the MS stack.

Bluetooth Echo, I have the same problem
Quote:
I was excited to be replacing the brick (8525) with the smaller and more user friendly BJII but now I may just keep the brick because of the stupid echo. I have searched the posts for a fix wth no luck. Please somebody tell us how to fix this problem with the BJII! I do not want to go back to the brick............ |

I have a BlackBerry 8830 from Alltel. The quality is great on my end, but many of the people I talk to say they hear an echo. I previously had a RAZR V3m with the same behavior.
I've seen a lot of people complaining of this problem on the message boards, but I haven't seen any solutions. Are there any other than getting a new phone or carrier? |
