Sorry for the crap pictures... I was doing a Case Study for business ethics, and just snapped quick pictures. The 3 prong Lego piece fits PERFECTLY over the rubber buttons on the BMW switch--and from the looks of it, it seems as if BMW gauged the distance with legos lol.

Anyway, the pictures are up.

you willing to give it to me for the same price shipped to canada? i am still debating if i should just get a modified one like this or get the real switch..

oh and another question, does the button fall off easily with the lego underneath? what's holding it in place?

I haven't tried putting it in place -- I know the 3 prong piece fits over the buttons perfectly, and i kept the lego pieces out of the switch so the buyer can see what it entails and how it works.

As for the same price, I know shipping to canada is a bit hefty, so if you want to add $4 to the total price, i'll go with it. Otherwise, it might be [more] worth your while if you go to the dealer and just get the factory part.

your car is wired... it's just that the fog button has tabs on it so that you cannot activate the switch. Moreover, it's missing the "trigger" that engages the buttons -- hence, the rationale for the lego mod.

You will not need to rewire or splice or anything along those lines. If you get the lego mod and carefully place it on the circuit board, you're good to go. The mod takes no more than 5 minutes [and that's if you're braindead and blind].

Nah, I wired my own foglights. My car didn't even come with a harness for my fogs, so I made my own error less HID fog light kit.
They automatically turn on when my main headlights turn on.
I don't even have a button for a foglight on the main switch for my own.
Is the switch just plug and play?

what model car do you have?
from what i know, it's plug and play, no error messages, etc...
I guess you're just missing the entire right side of the circuit then...

Yet again, some people spend significantly less money on replica rims, and OEM-style components. Thanks for your help with my sale... next time you have something useful to say, like you did, keep it to yourself.

$40k+ car and people put crap replicas on their cars? c'mon... we're catering to different crowds. I'm selling my lego-mod rear fogs. Everything on my car is OEM -- with the exception of my TEC tray. I even got the BMW PND b/c i didn't want to put my garmin nuvi on the windshield. Nevertheless, there will always be people willing to save a few dollars. Here's a chance to do just that.

On another note, this thread is for my sale -- not your opinions. $40K for a car, and people put VINYL-AMBER Covers on their headlights (STICKERS FOR YOUR HEADLIGHTS). Go vent there because, frankly, I could care less what you have to say. There's my .02
