Test driving in multiple places?

Hey guys, I need some advice here. So I have decided on an M235i and I will be buying one from a dealership soon.

Thing is, my fiancee is in Charlotte and wants to test drive one with me this weekend when I go to visit.

I also have found a few different ones in stock at dealers around me, and I have been test driving them all to get a feel for the different drivetrains and options.

It may be silly, but do test drives get recorded by BMW in a way that they would flag me as someone who's just test driving cars and not buying them? This is truly, truly not what I am doing but I can see how driving multiple M235i's over the course of a couple weeks in different cities may look bad, and I don't know if dealerships can see this.

i doubt it, most dealerships I go to give me the keys and that's it. Sometimes I do not even give them a license.

Its not uncommon for people to test drive many cars, there expensive, and people want to make sure there getting what they want.

They are watching. If you abuse test drives, they will allocate a lemon to you.

No, BMW does not have access to info recorded by the NSA.

I enjoy the sarcasm but couldn't you theoretically just go to every dealership in the country and test drive multiple cars, accruing thousands and thousands of miles without paying a penny? Seems like they'd have to have SOME way of tracking it..

Are you planning to login to Uber while doing this? In my area most people have jobs and other life responsibilities that might make this a prohibitive hobby.

Lol, fair point. As I said before this is obviously not my plan - I was just curious.

You make a fair point that it would take a shit ton of free time, gas, and expenses to just go around test driving cars, and your reward would be short 20 minute rides and 20 minutes of trying to get rid of the salesman. Fair enough.

There's no way for each dealer to check unless they're sister stores that share the same CRM system. And no, BMW has no way of checking who test drives. Why would you want to waste so much time (yours and the salesmen's) doing this though?

NG on the Uber theory - it won't work as Uber requires 4 door vehicles.
