My Problem....advice? Wastegates...

I have been having trouble with the 06-7 335xi lately. Any help is appreciated, i love the forum and the car, i just want it to run right.

I have a procede tuner, i know its outdated.

When i start the car up in valet mode, no tune on, i get wastegate rattle when revving in neutral. After about 3 minutes my rattle goes away. No rattle but car feels somewhat under powered. For this reason i will let my car sit in park for about 3 minutes before driving so i dont have to hear the rattle. Note- this is not an exhaust flapper issue, i disconnected it.

When car is on tune, i always have wastegate rattle. Rattle on neutral rev, rattle on decel down to 1k rpm, but car feels beastly.

Now my question is, why would my rattle disappear after a few minutes when not on tune? Is it possible i have a vacuum leak that only causes rattle until pressure is built up? or are my wastegates just screwed?

I can grab my wastegate with my hand and make it rattle. So its probably going out the door. im stumped, id hate to replace turbos if not necessary. Like i said, after a few minutes i dont have any rattle at all in stock! They boost great when on the tune but not great when in stock mode.

It's normal to hear wastegate rattle on cold starts.

But should it continue to rattle on neutral revs after initial start up?

After starting the car it rattles when revving in neutral, then the rattle just magically stops after about 3 minutes.

BMW tune and Procede or any other aftermarket tune for that matter manipulates the wastegates differently thus with one wastegates rattle only when exhaust is cold and the other rattles non stop. As long as you are not experencing low boost 30ff code and Limp mode leave wastegates alone.
