N55 Walnut blasting

So I'm doing the intake runner cleaning on my N55 and my question pertains to the small port in the runner on the head. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't this port tie into the valve covers pcv system? Should this port be covered somehow during blasting to keep bits of walnut shell getting in the pcv system..
