Mine is on the Asian Captain too! But mine will get off the ship in Baltimore.

Can't wait - my first bimmer. 340i xDrive in Estoril Blue / Black - will also be getting the MPPSK when it arrives at port!

Feels like I've been waiting forever - I officially ordered the car on August 3rd, so it will be 2 months from ordering to arrival at port in Baltimore (ETA is 10/4).

Yes!!! Can hardly wait! I'm without a car right now because we had a trailer built for our musician/singer/songwriter daughter and gave her my husbands ford f-150 to pull it on her tour around the US & Canada.

Meanwhile my husband has taken my Lexus to drive to work so he doesn't have to drive his 1965 Chevrolet Malibu. That's his baby.

So being that I'm home without a car, I track my car that is now on the Asian Captain! I was able to get pics from the webcam of the ship before it took off a couple days ago!

I posted this yesterday on the thread, post your timeline ....

Question for you guys.. how did you find out the car made it on that specific boat?
I dropped mine off in MUC this past Thurs (22nd Sept) but for some reason, no longer have ConnectDrive App showing my car location. Am I screwed?!

Hi,
My CA gave us the info about the ship & estimated arrival.
If you go to 2wglobal.com & click on track & trace put your vin into the cargo section & it will tell your car is on one of their ships.

You can also call the BMW Genius line and ask them and they can provide you with the information...

1.844.4GENIUS (443-6487) is the number - you just need your production number.

Thanks guys.. found my car. It's going on the boat (Tortugas) today with an (expected) arrival into NY on the 19th of October. Kinda bummed that I dropped her off in Munich on the 22nd of Sept, but it only shows arrival into Bremenhaven on the 30th!
8 days wasted there, 4 days added till the boat leaves, and it's going to take 15 days till it arrives in Port.

Guess I won't see her until the week of 24 Oct. Bummed~

Anyone concerned about Hurricane Matthew effecting the Asian Captains route? When I track it says out of range. Anyone have any current news on its whereabouts? It's scheduled to be in Baltimore tomorrow.

I'm a little worried about the hurricane. My 340 is on the Marvelous Ace and it's scheduled to be in Jersey on Thursday. My car is supposed to get off in Galveston on 10/14. I wonder if the storm will cause delays? I also wonder if the boat will stay moored until the storm passes or is it better/safer for it to weather the storm at sea.

Asian Captain is near the port of Baltimore! It is a little bit delayed, was supposed to arrive at 6am and its currently 3pm Eastern and according to the tracking it is still not in port. Hoping my car gets its Port Installed accessories quickly and makes it to the dealership by Saturday so I can pick her up!!!

The reason the ship loses position on the website is that AIS is the system used to track the ship - and most websites only offer radio based AIS for free. Radio based AIS loses signal as the ship gets into open water - Satellite AIS works anywhere - but every website I've checked requires you to pay or at least use a credit card for a free trial to get that information.

So VHF based AIS wasn't available on Asian Captain until early this morning when it "popped up" on the map near Baltimore.

Thank you!!! I actually just called W&W a few minutes ago & they said it will be at port by 6pm! Not sure what time zone. I'm just happy to see it is still on schedule. Port Hueneme can't come soon enough!

Ugh my car was unloaded in Baltimore on Tuesday - but BMW estimates it won't be delivered to the dealer until Monday due to Port installed accessories. But when I asked the CA, he said don't bet on it being here on Monday because the port has been running behind schedule ... car is so close to me, but I feel like I know less about where it is now than I did when it was on a ship over here!

Hopefully it is ready on Monday or Tuesday and I can finally drive her!

The Asian Captain is scheduled to arrive at the Panama Canal today! Then it's off to Port Hueneme!

It seems like it's been an eternity since we ordered in August.
Been reading the owners manual & had a dream last night that my 440i GC was here. I know I'm pathetic! Haha

The car left the port today and was scheduled to hit St. Louis on the 13th.

Per the dealer at 11AM this morning...it has arrived.

And no, I can't get the damn image to rotate correctly

Nice - my 340xi still doesn't have a delivery date, was dropped off in Baltimore same time as your car -- but I had 2 PIA's (black kidney grills and MPPSK).

Car is finally ready - unfortunately it missed the truck to my dealership, so my CA estimates it won't get to the dealer now until Friday. Have to wait until Saturday probably to finally get it. I feel like I've been waiting forever!

That is such bull! My car made it all the way to St. Louis quicker! (I only had the black front grille however my dealer is a lot further away!). I hope things change for you!
