Crossover sales are good.
All of the SAVs are selling well- except for the X4. Might be time to stick a fork in that experiment.
Sedans aren't selling throughout the market- any brand. |

Seems like sales are flat or down for most of the industry. The current 5-series being long-in-the-tooth now doesn't help either; that will change soon enough.
Oh and the i3 is a flaming turd. |

Product mix makes a difference - declines in the low priced cars are offset by gains in more profitable 7er and SAVs when taking into account selling price.
Still down, but volume alone is just marketing spin |

I'm personally out of the BMW game after nearly 10 years as a loyal customer. I just can't keep up with the Jones' anymore. When my lease is up in March I'm moving on to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Who knows, I may regret it and come crawling back with my tail between my legs but I just cannot continue to pay and be nickel and dimed for features that are just plain standard on other upscale brands. BMW's saving grace used to be their superior maintenance and warranty program but now that it's gone, I can surely afford an oil change once or twice a year with another brands vehicle. It was nice while it lasted BMW but I'm out.

Have an Overland now, and it's loaded to gills with usable Garmin NAV, heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, active cruise control, air suspension, certified 100k warranty (and doesn't cost a fortune when it does go to the shop), etc... It's why you see them everywhere. Best value for the money, just wish it had the emotional appeal of my ZHP |

The reason sales are up is rather simple, people want to get into Tesla. 3rd of sales came from the Model 3 reservation holders, who apparently decided not to wait a year and get Model S now I wonder if any of those actually went to by 3-er plug-in after seeing commercial, or they just interpreted it differently "why wait" right? After all, at 66K before fed tax cred, it is not that far off 3-er plugin or i3 Or by an inventory car even for less Last edited by AndreyATC; 10-03-2016 at 04:42 PM.. |

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-relea...300338123.html " Mercedes-Benz volume leaders in September included the C-Class, GLC and E-Class (including the CLS) model lines. The C-Class took the lead at 6,600, followed by the GLC at 4,873. The E-Class, rounded out the top three with 4,824 units sold. " interesting to note that the Mercedes volume leader in the C class was actually down -13.8% from last year. YTD for 2016 - The CLA (available as a 4 dr sedan ) at 19,551 this year... down from 23,253 in 2015 is killing the BMW 2 series (available as coupe only ) at 12,470 this year, up from just 8472 in 2015) for the second straight year. In that category alone - Mercedes is outpacing BMW 42,804 to 20,942 over the past 2 years.. ... ... I hope that the folks at BMW USA see this as a referendum for adding a SEDAN to the segment more so than making a FWD competitor... if there were 2 series coupe and sedans to compete against the CLA... the outcome likely would be very different. BMW 3 series SEDANS sell more than 4 series coupes. BMW 5 series SEDANS sell more than 6 series coupes BMW 7 series SEDANS sell more than the nonexistent 8 series BMW X3 SEDAN SAV sells more than the BMW X4 SAV coupe BMW X5 SEDAN SAV sells more than the BMW X6 SAV coupe etc... Totally amazes me that BMW USA/AG hasn't come up with an answer to this for the US market Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 10-03-2016 at 05:01 PM.. |

BMW don't include MINI and Rolls-Royce. Again September a different story for other markets.

Regardless, I don't care much for sales! I just want BMWs to be more driver-centric like they used to be. |

My buddy turned in his X3 he was exhausted. He turned to me for some help with Jeep Grand Cherokee. I help him pull the trigger on a 17 Trailhawk edition. The damn thing is Sweet......I want one now. Its off road capable, tows a good amount, and had blind spot detection.
