So when does BMW announce their new truck... now that Mercedes has one?
http://blog.dupontregistry.com/news/...ruck-revealed/
To be fair, Mercedes also has large commercial trucks and vans, but this is more a passenger vehicle... |

I'm sure it's already in the works. It won't be called a truck of course, they'll call it something like "Sports Belongings Carrier" and claim they invented a new segmet. Then they'll give it an extra set of doors and call it a coupe.

Don't forget, they will give it a 2" lift kit and call it a "GT".

What that M-B truck actually is is a Nissan, built in Nissan factories for certain European, African, and Asian markets and in a Renault factory in Argentina for the South American market ...
... and it's not coming to the U.S. -- which is smart because it simply would not sell here. Not as it is now. But make no mistake: ultraluxury import pickup trucks are coming here. Our market's just not quite ready for them yet ... and the trucks themselves aren't quite right yet, either. In five years' time, they will be.

Does the 6x6 G count as a truck? If my father owned an oil field in the Middle East that would be my ride of choice for surveying the property. What an insane vehicle. I've driven most of the "normal" Ga but not that one.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
