Is the 2011 335 xdrive msport a "nice car?"
Sometimes I feel like my car is outdated - and I get the itch to sell and get something newer after 17 months of ownership
Sometimes though I really like it/ appreciate it - What's wrong with me? It also irks me I spent 30k on it in 2015 and prices are plummeting too I love the steering feel and power but sometimes looks outdated to me-

That said, you'll get a upgrade in technology and comfort/luxury if you buy a newer car, but you're not going to get much improvement in power or performance. |

Well post up some pics
If your paint is all swirled scratched and dented....you may be right...it's outdated! But If your cars paint is in good condition I would say you have a "nice" car. But then again if it's broken all the time....I'll lean back towards"outdated! GL OP |

I've had the same car basically (non M-Sport) for 3 years. I know the feeling about wanting to upgrade. I would lease my next BMW for that reason.
Your car will be looking good for years to come so don't worry about that. |

the e90 is a timeless design
it is literally the last BMW that sticks to its roots. other then the Xdrive nonsense, you have a very special BMW. just look at that front fascia, it looks more ready then ever to carry out its sole purpose and molest pavement. |

drive the new 3 series and you will appreciate your E90! I think you need a snickers or need to mod your car! Tune your car and you will fall in love again!

As someone that just got rid of a 2016 car for a 2011, I can easily say that the E90 is not outdated. It may lack simple things like bluetooth, but that is about it.
I drove a lot of newer cars before I picked up the e90. The ATS, Mercedes C350, E550, 2013 335i, G37 and nothing was really comparable. Any car that got points for new technology, got knocked for being slow, sloppier handling or not having much cabin room. I have owned everything from old AE86's, to Sti, to IS350. All around, the e90 just sets itself apart. It's got the power, the looks, the handling, and the comfort. I was 100% open minded when buying my previous car, so I literally tried everything else in the same price range. I came back to the E90 everytime. |

To add to it... I had a loaner 16' 328i xDrive M-Sport and the handling was absolutely terrible. I felt like I was turning a toy car. So loose. I'm going to miss the hydraulic.
OP, is that at Daniels BMW?? |

"outdated" in what sense? If you're drooling over the F30 gen 3er then don't bother, many people here will tell you the E90 has a better road feel and better looks anyway. Don't trade cars out of boredom.

I think outdated is not the right word, it's more a sense that we're used to the look. Most find it hard to believe, but when the E92 was new in late 2006, it got thumbs up and heads turned. That's when a BMW was really a BMW, where W = women!

That's one of your problems. Love and embrace your E90. Make it pretty and take some motherfecking glamour shots. Give it a chance to let its inner-slut out once in a while. Then you'll have some car porn to look at when it's having a bad hair day which will motivate you to detail it or buy some new and fun parts.

I go through the same feelings. But in the end of the day, my 09 e90 6mt still makes me smile.
Lol, plus my car is worth peanuts if i were to sell it or trade it in . So i factor that in my rationale as well. I hope you arent stock....

My E90 is 9 years old, and still looks, and drives like the first day it was delivered. I'm not a fan of anything that's out now from BMW. Therefore, I'll be keeping my E90 for a long time.

Whenever I get that feeling or boredom, I go and splurge on a mod! That usually gets my fire going for a few months.

Keep it and make it look badass. A lip, lowering it and a fresh set of rims would make it looks boss!
A blackout in the headlights and full LED rings would also freshen it up, thought that's my opinion. There multiple companies that do this if you don't want to do it yourself. OneeightyNYC, OSS, Mod Emporium, etc. I have done custom headlights as well so I could help you out there, just PM me. All in all it's a great looking car. A spoiler on the back would make it look also great. Not sure what kinda spoilers there are for the E90 but ones that look like the high kick spoiler on the e92 as it looks clean and OEM. Best of luck, OP! |
