bare metal scratch .. rust ?

Im wondering if i can drive my car with few small bare metal scratch w/out risking rust ? In quebec.. Winter. Salt

I would prefer to touch up, but my money says it's ok. Think about if you have a stone chip on the hood...I've never seen one rust....

p.s. are you a Habs fan? We have offices in both Toronto and Montréal, so I love to talk hockey with both....and both are very loyal to say the least to their teams...

Ive got a couple of stone chips in my hood... definitely starting to rust...
Would apply some touch up to protect the metal mate

You need to first remove any loose surface rust that is already appearing and then touch up with any paint. Most people try to make it match by using color matched touch-up paint, but you could use primer, clear coat, anything to keep the metal from being exposed to the atmosphere.
