TPMS
My car doesn't need these but I've heard a rumour that a 2008 335 coupe does? Does anyone really know the answer? I know mine uses the ABS sensor but have been told the newer car doesn't....
Thanks PT |

I wouldn't know then lol... All I know is I can't find any tire pressure monitor on my dash settings anywhere.... so if it actually has the sensors but can't use them on my wheels... oh wells... that sucks... but on the bright side, its one less thing that can break that I don't really have a need for lol

I'm not changing but have a friend about to take delivery, he's looking into aftermarket rims but obviously if he doesn't have to buy TPMS that would be much better ... Are you back in town now Soni?

I was told by a Bmw tech that Canadian Bmws only use the ABS type sensor and that the tpms found inside the wheel is the old style....Although i notice that all the U.S. models still use the TPMS thats inside the wheels. I think its some kind of a law in the U.S. to have this type of sensor. Anyways, all i needed to do was to reset the ABS tire pressure monitor (instructions are in the BMW manual) and i was good to go.

What does the US system do? Our Acura actually can tell you the pressure in each tire. It's kpa not psi, but it's cool nonetheless.
