MHD valet map
So every now and then I have to entrust my car to someone I don't really know... tyre shop, parking valet, etc
What if we could flash a low (maybe 0psi) boost map so there's less chance of "mishaps" Thoughts ?

I don't ever let a tyre shop, valet etc drive my car, I tell them I will drive it in and out of their garage, valet spots and so on...

It's still a fast car in stock form in the hands of an inexperienced and overzealous teenager for example. Love to be able to put it in "318i" mode lol

Sorry mate, just have to reiterate....if you're putting it in the hands of an inexperienced, overzealous teenager then you don't care enough about your car

I think it may be a fun idea but at the end of the day, these cars aren't anything super special and easily replaceable which is why I have full coverage insurance. I really don't think they're so special, rare, or powerful to worry about when taking in to a place for work or valet parking. The valet from Ferris Bueller's Day Off is more excited by the 911 Turbo than our 335i

I'm all for an economy map too; in the meantime, I flash to map 0 then use my ancient procede V5 to bypass turbos if needed.

JB4s have a "reduced output" map that you can quickly turn on via the steering wheel controls for just this purpose.
The reduced output map takes the performance down well BELOW stock to very low boost levels. |

Cobb has a "Valet Map" that opens the waste gates completely and it builds ZERO boost. Sounds kinda nice, a little throaty but is likely less than a 325 because of lower compression.

Could you build it as per above COBB system? That sounds kind of cool!
