If you're referring to the M760i, that's an MPA, not an M.

I guess the biggest engine is just for bragging rights. Alpina already achieves similar power with a smaller engine, and a better power to weight ratio since it is about 300lbs lighter.

These are just msrp you can negotiate and there are dealer incentives. Maybe there will be discounts on those produced earlier to clear out inventory or the newer models come with extra packages as standard.

Yes and no. You can't get the same torque band at lower RPM's with a modern small engine compared to a modern big engine.

Yup. That's exactly who there is to blame. You can also add "minor year over year inflation is good for the economy too" farce.

I currently own 5 BMWs, and been a long time supporter...
But seeing for example what an A4 offers in comparison to the 3er at the same price point... I cant see BMW sustaining their sales for long... And now they're hiking the prices!!! (I dont know anything about C classes to mention as a rival in the point I am trying to make) Am I the only one getting turned off by that and seeing a downward trend in BMW? And more importantly, has anyone switched brands solely based on what options/packages other competitors offer for less money?! |

This sucks.
Other car brands have been stepping up their game lately and this just makes BMW less appealing. I definitely would've ordered a 330i wagon. I could also get a X5 with straight 6 for the SAME price. A price increase on a SUV that is nearing it's production end?? These prices don't make sense :/ I'd give to BMW that you can make any car look anyway you want with all the interchangeable parts but damn those prices.
