Factory Hitch?

I'm looking for a hitch and I can't seem to find one for the 230xi Vert. Maybe I should say I can't find because I found the below. All others I've seen are for 228 and I don't know if there were any changes to the mounts.

Has anyone tried the factory hitch? I'm surprised it's a Class III hitch...

Has anyone seen a picture of one installed?

I really like the idea of a hidden hitch like in this post, but I need one for the US not EU.

Thanks!

I don't believe there is a BMW hitch for the 2 Series. Curt makes one. You need to remove the rear bumper to install it and possibly trim the rear panel slightly. Run a search on the forum and and you will find a few threads for the 228/235, and the 230/240 should be the same. The issue will be the trailing light wiring package. Most that have added the hitch use it for a bike rack as opposed to towing, so the trailer wiring connect isn't important.

Thanks.. I id the search 1st and I show how the Curt hitch was just a bit high where one would need to trim a bit. I also saw the picks that look to be from BMW for a hitch and unless shopbmwusa is jacked up, it looks like they have a class 3 hitch..

BTW, I'm looking for a hitch for a bike and ski rack.. Anything I need to pull, I've got a pickup for that.
