BMW 330e. Is this a good lease deal?
Can you tell me if this is a good deal. I forgot to ask the sales price BMW 330e MSRP 55020
36/10 NY Taxes in the payment Due at signing: $349 First Month 925 bank fee $399 Doc fee $329 Estimated motor vehicle fee $372.94 tax on $3k federal tax $2450 7 refundable deposits of $ 350 $4,824.94 total due This quote includes 3k lease rebate for hybrids, then I put in 1500 Fleet rebate (which also reduces MF by .00020), and finally a 1000 winter ski credit. Based on all of this info, is it possible to reverse calculate the selling price to see if this was a good deal? Thank you Have a great day Andrew |

No one can give you any opinion whatsoever without the sales price. Also, what is the money factor you are being charged ( you say you got the corporate discount reduction but you did not say what the actual number was). You must be dealing with a new jersey dealer because I am fairly certain that NY does not allow MSDs at all... Post the rest of the information (MF charged, not just your discount on it) and the actual selling price. Note: Base money factor for tier 1 credit is .00140 to .00180 negotiable between you and the dealer this month. What that means is, if you were getting the BASE money factor, and corporate discount, and full MSDs your money factor would be .00071. If they are charging you anything more than that, they are marking it up (which is part off the negotiations). For example, if they are charging you .00111, that might sound like a discount, but its not. That would be max .00180, minus .00049, minus .00020. I am going to make an assumption that you are likely NOT getting the base money factor, since you dont have the sales price handy. Its possible you are, but unlikely, since many dealers will just tell you the monthly payment to try to get you to focus on that, instead of the specifics like how much they are selling the car to you for. |

That seems to be in the ballpark for 330e but it depends on what options you have. If that's the MSRP if you can get 5k off that price you're doing pretty good. Unfortunately their isn't much 330e inventory so it may be more difficult to negotiate so YMMV. Maybe there are more now but this isn't a very high volume car and I haven't seen many in the wild. I only saw one at a car meet I attended and I think it was being driven by a dealer rep. Maybe if the dealer is trying to move the car because they've had it for a while they may be willing to negotiate.
