Seemingly normal things you've never done

I take great pride in admitting I've genuinely never used a washing machine, the mrs washes all our stuff and if she's away I take the washing to my mum.

I can't be the only one who has never done an everyday thing that's expected of you?

Ironing.

Hate it.

When my parents used to go away I'd pay a lady to come and iron my shit for me, now the mrs does it as I do the bins lol!

After my paternal grandmother died many years ago my grandfather was completely lost in his house. It turned out he'd never even made a cup of tea before, and he was in his 80s at this point.

As for me, I have to admit I've been well domesticated.

Nothing unfortunate about it from my perspective.

My anectdotal observation of friends and colleagues over the years is that the amount someone gets drunk is inversely proportional to how happy they are with their life.

Must be who you know - in my group it is proportional to the level of stress in their life or how many stag weekends they go on....

Everyone lets their hair down differently. Having worked for 2 breweries and having a good friend who worked in the wine industry, socialising in the company of alcohol has often been ours....

I never said the amount you drink, but the amount you get drunk and that's an important distinction. I have two close friends who with for breweries in account management and hear all the time how much their working lives revolve around drinking!

But I have two other friends who still get majorly drunk and they're the two who are the most unhappy with their lots in life.

The guys who are most content are the ones who drink moderately.

You have to remember that Broncho is a Neanderthal it was only last month he wanted to go bull fighting, probably never opened a door for a lady or made a romantic gesture in his life.

The only thing I've not done domestically is have a baby. My wife would have gladly put that on my things-to-do list if it weren't biologically impossible.

As for the rest of it, I've done everything; wash, ironing, cooking, cleaning up the kitchen. I don't do these things that often because, well, we have help, but I have no problem when necessary. On the other and, my wife always pitches in when asked when I'm cleaning the garage, washing the car, working in the yard, etc.

You're lucky, my wife has only stepped foot in the garage twice I think, and she has never done a single thing in the yard (garden) of this house we've lived in for 2.5 years! Oh and she has never washed a car in her life! Mind you, she is Kuwaity, so is used to having maids and gardeners to do that sort of thing for her!
