odd turbo noise after inlets

I have relocated inlets and ive noticed a strange noise. Of coarse there is the much louder spool noise but it seems to sound like stuttering when im hitting full boost. Am i correct to assume this is because the waste gate is opening to level out boost? Is this the sound of less spool from the waste gate opening?

There are no anomalies in my logs and you cannot feel the car stuttering. its just a noise at full throttle / boost.

Are you getting any throttle closures? The inlets may be causing them and the noise you hear will be your bov venting as the throttle closes.

Post a video of it. I'm guessing it's wastegate flutter, which can become noticeable when you install inlets. Is it only when building boost, then once you hit full boost the sounds goes away? Or do you hear it throughout the entire pull?

Log and a vid would help sir! Use datazap.me for the logging -easy for anyone to graphically see it. Vids are a pain to record decent audio on, but do what you can and we'll be glad to help.

At 2727 rpm in the log you posted you have a slight throttle closure as you briefly exceed target boost. If the log is of the same run where you're at during the 1 min mark in the vid... that's very likely what it is. This could be smoothed out in your tune.

That makes a lot of sense. thanks for the reply! sounds like something that can wait until I get the FMIC in next week. the pressure drop might even cure it
