I know some mechanics who work on these, and in our area the local fleets are having all kinds of reliability problems with the FCA models, everything from hoses coming loose to suspension attachment points breaking off. They look badass, but apparently have borrowed Fiat's quality control tactics.
And I can get with liking to see one out of commission (sort of) but not totaled. This ain't smokey and the bandit - somebody gets hurt when that happens, and I think it is bad car karma to gloat. Ever wonder whether LEO's read these posts and form opinions of what kinds of people drive BMW's (or how many of them are members)? Besides, if you have a BMW, your first-world-problem self gets a lot more protection than harassment out of these guys. Any idea what the life expectancy of smart alecks in hot cars is in Russia? Granted they don't have issues w/ speed radar, but most of the people driving cool cars have a screwdriver for an ignition, and some funky stains from the previous owner. |

its not about race or creed..its about having one less cop on the turnpike to give me a ticket..

Yeah, sucks when they don't answer your calls right away when you need them....probably late b/c he was arresting that drunk driver that was going to meet you at the red light.
