Hey all, I rarely post in here but for those of you looking for a simple way to press in the pilot bearing into the input shaft of the transmission, look no further.
-So first you'll have to rent a 2/3 jaw puller from the auto parts store. -Then you either find 2 inner tie rod tools for rent or buy them like I did. - Next you'll have to pick up a couple bolts and nuts, maybe washers too if yours don't have enough thread on them. - Now combine the 2 tie rod tools with the bolts you got and place it around the input shaft, then tighten them down nice and snug until you can't pull them off of it. - for my situation I used a 10mm socket to slide into the bearing and then a 1/2"to 3/8" drive adapter for the center bolt of the jaws to push into. - Lastly Hook the jaws to the tie rod tools and go to town with the a breaker bar! Attached are all the images to show what they look like and how to assemble the items. Last edited by ken335AZ; 06-11-2017 at 07:29 PM.. Reason: added pics |

I used this method to press it in, I was tightening the center bolt on the jaw puller which was pushing the bearing to the back.
