BMW MPE no longer available in Aus?
Myself and a mate just enquired at our 2 local dealerships into latest pricing on the MPE and were told by both that they are no longer able to supply the exhaust in Australia.
Anyone else been told this? Last edited by Prodigy.; 07-18-2017 at 07:18 AM.. |

Am currently waiting for another call back to clarify and hopefully give more insight as to if/why they are saying it's not available.
May have to look at interstate dealerships if they are still indicating they can supply them. |

If you don't mind asking, where you based? I'm in SYD. I could PM you the info of my dealer if you like.

I think I read somewhere here that the MPE comes with the red button in the boot, which you need to press every time before starting the car if you wish to activate the race/track mode? I think this only applies for V2? And when I checked the availability of MPE yesterday with my dealer, he said there's no red button.

Heard back from one of the dealerships late this arvo, appears they got confused and the exhaust is available.
There was confusion with part #'s and it appears Australia is getting a revised system at some stage. Red button maybe? Hope not. Admin can delete thread if required. |

I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago when I heard they were running out.
This is the BMW Australia quote sent to me: BMW Australia would like to advise dealer network that the BMW M Performance Valve Silencer System for M2 (F87) has had a manufacturing optimisation change, which has unfortunately resulted in the superseded system being non-compliant to Australian Standards. So I got one of only two apparently left in the country (at the time) - it arrived at the dealership Friday from interstate but the carbon diffuser I also ordered isn't due from Germany until mid week - hopefully by next Friday COB I'll have everything installed and I'll report back what it sounds like versus stock. |
