Just wanted to post this if anyone else experiences this. I searched and found not many threads with people having this issue but did find one that mentioned a seal rubbing.

Pulled my fan out and sure enough, the seal between the rad and ic had come loose and was rubbing on the fan when running. Put the ic in the car about 7 or 8 years ago so took a while to come loose.

Just an FYI in case others have the issue!
