V K Motorwerks needs your opinion...

I have been getting overwhelming response/interest in the oil cooler upgrade from V K Motorwerks. However i have noticed that price seems to be a big issue with most. The cost can be kept down with quality functional products however want to know how many of you would be willing to pay extra for a little extra "bling." mainly instead of the current black hoses which are more then capable of handleing the heat and pressure, upgrading to steal braided hoses with colored fittings. This is a small detail but curious to know your view.

Steel braided hoses and Earl's fittings would be worth the extra dough. But not $500 more.

Keep the product functional and the cost low. The last thing we need is to pay a premium for an over-engineered product when its really not needed for this application.

IMO, steel hoses and colored fittings are a waste. You'll only see a very small portion of it at the top of the engine bay, and the rest will be covered by paneling.

If the cheap stuff does the job just as well, it makes more sense.

I personally don't care about the steel hoses and colored fittings.
Whatever works.
I don't enter shows so I could care less (to an extent) of the look.

we are hopeing in about 2 weeks if we find that everything checks out, the most important thing is to make sure that the product is working well. Our goal is to make sure that you as the consumer is getting a great product and also be reasonably priced.

My preference is GO over SHOW.

I'd buy an ugly setup that works well over a pretty one that doesn't.

We, who are interested in oil cooler upgrade are all for the functionality and GO. For some, bling if its only for SHOW is negative...

The functionality needs to be there and cover all the aspects as Leftcostman has expressed already in the other thread.

Let me clear up some confusion here. When I said "bling," it also meant functionality. There are several different types of lines we can run. The first is the OEM style line although its much more heavy duty. This is the line you see in my pics. The other is a true braided steel line that isnt some cheap hose with a steel braided covering over it. However, in regards to performance this wont make much of a difference if any at all.

100% functional, OEM style please. No additional "bling" under the hood for me ...

Based off your responses, the kit will be sold with the OEM "looking" hoses vs. braided steal. Thanks guys!
