Okay, here's a short lived poll for you who watch American Idol.

This is the first year I've ever watched AI, I normally just watch the auditions. I'd like to see David Cook win since I prefer the style of music he sings. I think he has a good career in front of him. More in a band, than solo artist. Quite a few bands looking for a new front man are probably interested.

David A is very talented and definitely has a career ahead of him, but he's such a goofball. He can't even get two words out when Seacrest interviews him, he just giggles like a school girl. It's very annoying.

Seyesha, she should be done this week. She doesn't have the X factor. She has gotten better, just no stage presence. I think she's gone this week.

However, even though I fully agree with you and I voted for Cook in this poll, I think Archuleta has more teenage girls voting for him on their cellphones every week, and he might win because of that. He's driving them crazy!!!

He is the only one that resembles a true artist. The other two sound the same every week and have nothing 'their own'. If one of them wins, I believe they will follow the steps of some of the past Americon Idol winners and be famous for a second and then fade away.

Syesha can sing different style songs. Archuleta basically sings the same style every single week. Same tempo, same runs. It's really old now. It has been for a few weeks. He can sing, but he's got no versatility whatsoever. I just don't want all the little girls voting him through because that takes away from the fact that it is a singing competition to find the next great act.

David Cook deserves to win, solely for the fact that he is artistic with some of the songs. Even though most people quote the Billie Jean song when it comes to this, he didn't actually change that one. He sung Chris Cornell's version. But ever since then, he's been changing the songs up in a similar fashion, so I have to put my money on him.

Syesha deserves second place. But she will probably get out this week. Her only issue in my opinion is that she takes on songs that are too big for her, and she can't seem to get the judge's comments through her head. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be Broadway for her, not just a singing contract.

It was funny that no one realized, even though it was stated that it was Cornell's version, that he chose it. That song is what took him up a notch above the rest though imo.

I've noticed the same thing with Archuleta. But it's the only songs he looks normal on. When he's done the upbeat songs he just looks uncomfortable. And his tone is always the same, no matter the song. However, he is definitely in that age where they could market him for the teens and moms. He will make a couple million no doubt.

Well, I watched the show tonight, and looks like Syesha was sentenced to death. I don't think she'll make it for the final.

After tonight's performances, I stand firm behind Cook - he did very well. Archuleta was OK.

Paula Abdul surprised me, as she was not giving the singers a break like in other shows. She was actually fair and a bit tough on them.

I agree.

As with every week, everytime David Cook sings I want to hear the whole damn song. He just looks the most comfortable on stage, confident in himself. And to be able to be strong with his brother having brain cancer, that's tough to deal with.

Maybe I just misunderstood because I was making dinner at the beginning of the show - but were the judges blaming some of them for their song choices on the first and third song (the ones where they didn't pick..judges and producers picked I think)?

FWIW I freaking hate American Idol and everything it represents about our culture of lack of and our society as a whole.

But

The wife likes more than just the freak weeks... so I've been subjected to it this year.

I like Cook, seems to be the real artist of the bunch, not just a parrot, or trained monkey.
