Interesting site for checking history

https://cazana.com/uk

This site seems to include former sales details as well as MOTs

Good site, my S2000 has for sale adverts from years after I sold it, can't believe how much they've gone up in value since I sold mine

Most of the information can also be obtained through the phone app "Vehicle Smart". Good app to check mileage and MOT report on any car.

Nice site, cheers for posting Glad to see my old E90 has done another 10k and sailed through it's MOT this year, 12 months after I sold it.

Edited to add - They've estimated the mileage for my 440i uncannily well - it's within 150 miles of the actual miles I have covered. How did they manage that? Unless either they have links to dealer computer systems or I am incredibly close to the average annual first year mileage (which seems very unlikely at around 5k miles).

They will probably just use the MOT mileage and do a simple average calculation. My 340 is showing as much lower than what I currently have it on, but only due to previous owner doing low mileage and i've not yet had MOT in my ownership.

Yes, I get that with older cars and it works for my old car

There is no MOT history for my 440i though. From new in September '16, the only people apart from myself that have seen the mileage are my wife, any passengers and a BMW dealership last month for warranty work. If they had a feed from BMW, that would explain the incredibly close estimate to my mileage. Or it's simply luck that I am bang on the average that they estimate [for this model]. 5k miles seems way on the low side though!

I had a quick look at another forum member's September '16 car using the plate from a photo on here. It's a 435d and that shows 8k miles.

I guess your 340i is too new for an MOT, how close are they on that?

Correct, no MOT data yet for my 340i.
Although they are quite a way out.
First reg in July 2015. Current mileage just over 20K, site estimate at 17K. Probably used the sales add as it was advertised at 15K miles in April.
Be interesting to see what the site states for a one owner car of about a year old. No "Sales" data.

Just checked my S2000 and very close on that, but probably only due to recent MOT (MOT in July).
Estimates 42,614 and actual is 42,143.

I've been looking for my old 5 series I sold about 15 months ago

Oddly it comes up as having a new MOT in July 2017 yet on all the MOT history checks there is no mention of this test. Was interested to see what mileage it has now done (must be approaching 200k) and whether it failed on anything

Strange that the DVSA status and history don't match, ie have a missing test

My old E39 M5 has now done more than a quarter of a million miles since I sold it - impressive stuff. I should never have sold that car.

Nice to see that the Honda Civic I had prior to my 340i has been picked up by someone and has done a further 6k miles and passing its MOT easily.

The valuation seems high though, 3.2k for a 75k miles 57 plate 1.8 ES Civic. TRL only offered me 2.5k for it a year ago!

How was it's estimate for the mileage on your 340i? Which I assume you bought new? Interested to know how it compares with the laser accurate estimate on mine!

Oh way off, by at least 3k miles. This is in part due to the 2k miles I had covered 1 month into owning the car for various family reasons.

Yes but the additional bit this adds is previous sales data from adverts.

My millage was out it estimated 8k and it's done 12k. Still low after 18months mind.

As for valuation if that's what I could get I'd sell like a shot as its more than I paid for it!
