What exaclty is 29.2 update?

I am going to get my updated flash friday. If I go and get the updated flash then I go to my local BMW dealership for a warranty item for a rear breaklight mailfunction. ( which seems like its working anyway ) When i go for the tailight are they going to try and update to 29.2? And will that wipe out my revised Dinan flash?

I'm def very confused about the whole situation.

I know i've seen people refuse the update. but what exactly is the update for?

From what I've read here it involves a live chicken and a ritual of some sort so that BMW can divine anything you've ever done to your car.

The 29.2 update is a newer version of the Progman software. They release new versions all the time, addressing problems with the car. This version, however, is at least partly to detect the use of piggybacks.

So if I have the Dinan Flash, this update won't blowout the flash will it?

you'll need to get the car reflashed with the dinan software after the progman update
