I dunno 8-months and $67,470 in transactions????
Lesse you buy interesting crap from a local warehouse/auctions/China. You ship via UPS ground or Fedex Ground and keep the items lightweight and small. You advertise some bigger more interesting items but for the most part keep it small and lightweight. Just enough for someone to NOT feel taken. So you're looking at say 60-70 points on each transaction maybe average out to about 50pts. If you're a small operation 1-2 people and you are running out of your house or inexpensive facility at $1k a month or so, minus materials and advertising.... So lets see if I can do this... $67,470 Say 50% margin including shipping. so $67,470 - $33,735 = $33,735 est materials for 8 months at about $1500 per month $33, 735 - 12,000 = 21,735 subtract rent for shitty warehouse space $21, 735 -8,000 = $13,735 so $13735 divided by 8 months... $1,716 a month.. Not good. Without rent you'd be looking at $2,716 a month... Still not good. If you whiddle down the packaging and materials costs from $1500 to $800 with no rent you're at $27,335 or $3,400 a month. But then you figure in taxes, SS, utilities and web fees? You're down to probably about $15 bucks... Yeah, I'll keep doing what I'm doing...  Still entertaining though...If it grows well there could be something there in another 6 months or so, but given the economy and many folks tightening belts, I dunno.

it just another spin on the www.woot.com which does these one day sales and somedays they do these one day bag of something sales.
I bet you they are not warehousing a thing, they are doing drop ships from someone else who is holding this stuff, they are just moving old inventory someone has laying around and want is gone.. You know the old saying one persons junk is another person treasure. |
