3.5bar Adapter problem

I just got my DOC kit W/6466 installed recently. I just installed new plugs and coilpacks today. I have the newest JB4 single turbo firmware installed along with MHD BEF. I installed the BMS 3.5lb tmap adapter but the car is running rough and showing the half engine light. I'm throwing these codes 2ABC- Boost pressure sensor electic, 2ABD-Boost Pressure sensor overrun, and 3100- Boost pressure control, deactivation. However, when running the stock sensor everything work fine. I also changed the tmap setting in JB4 to 1. Do I need to get N20 Map sensor as well (BMW part 13627843531) for to work correctly. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

I had this issue with the 4bar. I tried 3 or 4 other 4bar sensors and same issue. Went to 3.5 and no problem.

I ordered a 3.5lb bar. Is there any way to tell if its really a 3.5lb?

It will say 3.5 on the tmap sensor, what are you running now stock or 4bar?

I'm running the stock sensor now because the 3.5 bar one I ordered doesn't work. However, looking closely I believe BMS sent me a 4LB bar adapte instead. It doesn't say 3.5 anywhere on it. What do you guys think?

N20 TMAP will have 3.5 stamped on it, doubtful the adapter harness does. People seem to have more trouble with 4 bar sensors than they're worth. Unless you need to be able to read >40psi, not sure what the purpose is for running them. If 36psi will work instead, just order an *OE* N20 3.5bar that works without question.

Edit: missed that you have a 3.5bar. Not sure on the adapter harness, but AFAIK, all it does is re-pin the wire locations, which you can do yourself if inclined. I have seen some complain of issues with generic N20 3.5bar TMAP replacements though. Is yours is OE or some Amazon/Alibaba equivalent?

That is a 3.5bar plug and play adapter.

Need the N20/3.5 bar MAP sensor. Need the adapter harness for it from BMS unless you swap the pins yourself. Sounds like you have both now, not entirely sure what you had before at this point.

If you're using JB4, set N20/3.5 bar option in JB4 and DO NOT select the N20/3.5 bar option in MHD. If you've selected the option in both MHD and JB4, that's your problem. JB4 is applying it's own 3.5 bar scaling on top of it already being converted in the flash. The N20 MAP option has to be set in the JB4 (i.e. can't select N20 map in MHD and leave JB4 set to stock 2.5 bar MAP), so leave JB4 set to 1 and reflash with the N20 option deselected in MHD.

How can you tell the difference from 4 bar and 3.5 bar harness? I'm pretty much getting the same problem upon startup every time instant limp mode with code 2abd boost sensor overrun
