2010 335i coupe sport seats in 2008

I bought a 2008 335i that doesn't have sport seats. Previously I had a 2007 328i and had those. Just wondering if the 2010 335i seats I bought will be a direct plug and play for the harness. I've read that some need to a different harness for the controls to work. ECS tuning...

Can be swapped, depending. I put 2011 LCi fronts in my 2006. Both were full manual seats but power bolsters. Garage just needed to swap one wire on the multiplug under the seat.

LCi seats have active headrests though, so they don't move and cannot be wired in to a pre-LCi car.

If the sport seats have the same exact controls as your non-sport seats, then they should work as plug-n-play.

I'm not sure about plug and play. The 2008 models didn't come with active restraint head rests where as the 2009+ did. It's a safety device activates the head rests to propel forward in the event of a collision to minimize whiplash.

Another thing to be careful of when doing the switch is to swap over your old seat belt buckles if the new seats came out of a wrecked car.
