Winter Tires/Wheels for 335xi w/ sport kit

OK so this may seem way out of left field at this time of year but I noticed that deals can be had right now on winter tires.

I dont have my car yet but I ordered a 335xi sedan with the sport package.

I was just wondering what is the smallest wheel that will fit?? I'm assuming getting a winter tire package with 17" wheels should work? 16" probably too small right becuase of the brakes etc right?

17" will be fine. You probably can get away without winter tires in Vancouver though.

I have 18" winters on my 335xi coupe and I loved them. 16's are way to small IMO. Most people I spoke with thought 17" were the best but I wanted a bigger rim. YOu will be amazed at the xi with winter tires. Better than the Tahoe I used to drive.

16" will not clear the brakes.

I have 17" winters, and it's a pretty close fit.

If you can snag a deal right now on winters, you're a smart man! Good luck.

I got 17" Dunlop M3 runflats on both my 530Xi and 335i cab as winter tires. They are very good on the 2WD and excellent on the 4WD.

Hey guys... I have a 328i coupe (E92) with sport package too. What is my minimum rim size for clearing from the brake assembly? 17 inch? Thanks!

17" should work for everybody unless you have aftermarket brakes.

There are two types of Blizzaks - Those with Tube Multicell compound (WS, REVO and MZ) and those without (LM). Those with the compound really stick to ice, but the tire is very soft and only has Q rating for speed (max 160 km/H) and handling is soft too. Also that the compound only exists in the first 55% of the thread. Once it wears pass that point it is only as good as a four seasons tire. The LM has stiffer compound all the way through for H speed rating (210km/H) and better handling but is not nearly as good on ice.
