More details on a Swedish website. Text is Swedish, but images explain themselves, mostly
E.g. they write that some models will get charging faster than 150kW. http://www.mestmotor.se/recharge/art...-laddhybrider/ |

2017 X1 Le2.5 iPerformance?
Anyone have more details on the 2017 X1 Le2.5 iPerformance? Is that for China only? Is that a plug in hybrid like the 330e?
Looks like the all electric X3 won't be within 6 months of the end of my lease in January 2019, so I am going to have find something to tide me over. Bailyhill

I'm very happy with my 2016 BMW 330e iPerformance. I think I'll buy the next generation 3 series PHEV, but I hope they will fit a bigger battery. At least 100km (62miles) range in full electric mode would be perfect.

I'm glad I leased a 320i for the next 3 years instead of buying this time around. I think when my wife's lease is up there will be a lot of options to move to that require no gas for commuting whatsoever at a more attractive price point than what's available now.

That's likely to be the i5X, to be launched around 2024 based on the generation after G05.
From AutomobileMag: "- i5X (or X5i) denotes the EV version of the next-generation X5, and is scheduled for 2024. Thanks to the flat-floor design of the tall-roof SUV, there is plenty of space between the axles to slide in flat battery packs, Tesla-style. Like its up-market stablemates (and the Audi e-tron and Mercedes EQ-E), the i5X will be offered with two or three motors, and with different battery configurations." |

Think you're talking about the one on the 2025 line? I mean the sports car looking one above it to the left a bit on the 2024 line

Anyone of those cars underneath the cover can be a hybrid hypercar.
In my dreams, I know. |

Pretty excited for the iX5 though won’t see it till mid next decade. I don’t conceptually understand if PHEV are accepted why have a power train at all just go full EV at that point. Battery cost likely will be down to $100kw/h anyways.

Bmw will do electric cars right, I have no doubt. But they will price them high.

I was hoping we might get through one thread about BMW’s electric vehicle plans without it degenerating into a Tesla hate fest. On the positive side, we made it 19 posts this time. That’s at least above average.
