BEST drivers car 2015-2018 6 speed?
I'm in the market for a new car (new or used) and I feel there is nothing out right now that's a great drivers car in a 6 speed that looks good, handles well and isn't super common. The 240i is the top on my list. But even that isn't ideal. Manuals are getting harder and harder to come by, so maybe that's the issue more than anything else. Anyone else feel the same way?

What about a seven speed manual? My favorite cars so far are still the 1/2 series, Golf R/S3, Corvette, Cayman, Jaguar F-Type. All of these are affordable, decent sized for sporty cars.

I have been looking for over a year for a car that stirs me like my 981 cayman S used to.
over 15 test drives and no change yet the closest was a 2016 f type r awd...but again no manual the trend towards turbos and non manuals is dulling cars |

Posts like this are almost always missing a key component:
Budget? People have posted cars that range from under $30k to well more than six figures. We need to know yours, OP, before we can recommend some contenders. (Of course, my vote is for a Cayman of whichever vintage. But YBMV (Your Budget May Vary).

Don't get a Miata. I had a ND and got tired of it after 5 months. Sure the 6MT was nice, but lack of any grunt and the exhaust not wasn't necessarily inspiring...

My 2SS 1LE is almost here, but the ZL1 1LE is a very track specific weapon, not a good daily driver. The regular ZL1 would be far better as a daily driver, although that's insane power for most street/back country applications, so I'd suggest the 1LE, there's very little opportunity to stretch the legs of a ZL1, let alone a ZL1 1LE, in most places.

Cayman. I haven't driven the 981 or 718, but my 987.2 has the same 3.4 liter engine as the 981. It's a significantly better car than the numbers would suggest, and faster in the real world than many other cars that post better lap times. It's so predictable and communicative that you're able to extract more out of it, drive it closer to the limit, and need less of a safety margin.
My only complaint is the lack of legroom as compared to my Z's (I'm 6'3").

You guys are naming corvettes, camraos and mustangs lol... I said not common! LOL.
Forgot to mention, under 50k or so. I love the Cayman 718, but out of my range. Something that's refined yet very sporty. But i'm sure you guys named every manual under 100k right there... |

The only way you're going to get into a more expensive price bracket (and open up more options) is to change your age limit. 69 if you restrict it to 2013+ |

If you like the F Type then try the Corvette. They are very similar at least to me. I was actually surprised how similar. I almost bought a used 2015 F Type S but it reminded me of the C7 so I went back and test drove it again and realized I could have a new 2LT trimmed C7 for the same money. Both great cars IMO and sound lovely.
