Clutch Bleeding
Hello everyone,
Made the mistake of crimping the rubber feed hose to the slave when doing the CDV delete and about a week later the line decided to pop and clutch fluid drained. Long story short I have a replacement line coming in and plan to bleed the clutch sometime this weekend. I have tried to search for a manual bleeding guide, but have really only seen power bleeder videos online. I will be doing the two person method. It is just as simple as putting brake fluid into the front reservoir (on top of the mastery cylinder) and pumping the clutch just like a break job? Does the clutch cylinder receive fluid from the brake reservoir and pump it through the feed line as the pedal is being used? I know there is not a large amount of fluid that goes through the system. Just want to make sure the job is done right the first time! |

Yes, that simple. Also note, that by design, the clutch bleeds itself as you push it. Air bubbles would come out anyway, there is no obstruction to "hold" them in like in brake calipers.
