Rear Light Not Working

Hi all,

Having an issue with my nearside rear light on my 2007 E92.

The dash has issued a warning to say that a bulb has failed but on changing
all bulbs in the unit it still doesn't light up.
I have also tried a new bulb holder but this doesn't work either.

The brake light and indicator, lights up but no running light.

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Cheers,
Joe

The 'running lights' as you call them are in fact LED bars and if they fail, the whole rear light needs replacing...unless your a dab hand with a soldering iron, in which case this might work:

Hi, glad the guide I put together has been useful - even if it's just so you know what's involved.
^ like Phil325i says, on my 2007 E93 only the lightbars ("running lights") are LEDs, the rest (brake, indicator etc) are normal bulbs.

I'm based just above Newcastle, and have the spare pair of (faulty) E93 lights I removed, lots of original BMW LEDs, and a few "new" LEDs that I didn't use.
Happy to help out if I can, just shout !

For info, I didn't get any "lights out" warnings when my LED lights died, but the foglights in the bootlid seem to have weak contacts and gave warnings even when the lights were ok.

I'm having the exact same issue , drivers side is dull.. sometimes flickers a little and goes off.... I'm hoping for a crappy connection but I just know it will be an LED problem 😔
